Notification setup now happens in Anthuria. In Settings > Notifications you can choose which notifications go out, for which facility, on what schedule, and who receives them, without sending the request to our team.

Who can manage notifications

Owner. Can manage notifications for every facility on the account.

Admin. Can manage notifications for the facilities assigned to them.

Staff. Can receive notifications but cannot change a configuration.

These are the same permission levels used everywhere else in Settings. See Adding and Managing Users in Your Account if you need to change someone's level first.

Opening your notification settings

  1. Click your name in the bottom left corner of Anthuria.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click Notifications.

Your facilities are listed on the left, each showing how many notifications are currently active for it. Use Search facilities if you manage a long list. Select a facility, then click Notification details to see its notifications.

To leave Settings, click Back to Anthuria at the top of the sidebar.

What you can send notifications for

Every facility has the same list of notifications. Anything you have not set up yet shows as Not configured.

  • Abuse

  • Condition Change

  • Elopement with AMA

  • Fall

  • Foley Catheter

  • IV Fluids

  • Neglect

  • Psychotropic Medication

  • Rehospitalization

  • Unwanted Behavior

  • Weight Change

  • Wound/Ulcer

A Weekly activity summary is also available in the same list, and is set up the same way as the clinical notifications.

Bowel/GI and Mental Health incidents are live in Pulse in the application, but are not yet available as notifications.

Setting up a notification

  1. Find the notification you want in Notification details and click Add.

  2. Open the Schedule dropdown and choose how often it should send. Daily summary batches everything into one message per day.

  3. Click Save notification to enable it for the facility you selected, or Apply to all facilities to use the same setup across every facility you manage.

Saving is what turns the notification on. Until then it stays listed as Not configured.

Pick the schedule that matches how your team works. Anything you need to act on the same shift belongs on the most immediate schedule available, and items you review once a day are better batched into a summary.

Choosing who receives it

  1. Click Manage recipients.

  2. Select the people who should receive this notification.

  3. Click Save notification.

  4. Click Close when you are finished.

Recipients need access to the facility the notification covers. If someone you expect to see is missing from the list, check their facility access in Settings > Team first.

Think about who belongs on each notification separately. Some notifications carry clinically sensitive detail, and the right recipient list for those is often narrower than your general list. Each notification keeps its own recipients, so it is worth setting those up on their own rather than defaulting everyone to the same configuration.

Editing a notification

  1. Open Notification details for the facility, and find the notification you want to change.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Change the Schedule, or click Manage recipients to update who receives it.

  4. Click Save notification, then Close.

This is the part most people come back for. When a coordinator or DON changes, edit the recipients here rather than asking us to do it.

Turning a notification off

  1. Open Notification details and click Edit on the notification.

  2. Click Remove configuration.

  3. Click Close.

The notification goes back to Not configured and stops sending. This does not change anything about what Anthuria detects, and it does not affect anyone's access to the platform.

Questions we get

Someone is not receiving a notification they should be getting

Check three things. Confirm the notification is not still listed as Not configured for that facility. Open Manage recipients and confirm the person is selected. Then confirm they have access to that facility in Settings > Team, since a recipient without facility access will not receive it.

Can different notifications go to different people?

Yes. Each notification has its own recipient list, so you can send one to a small clinical group and another to a wider distribution.

Can I set different schedules for different notifications?

Yes. Schedule is set per notification, per facility.

Do I have to set each facility up separately?

No. Use Apply to all facilities when you want the same notification and schedule everywhere. Set a facility up on its own when its needs differ.

We are getting too many emails

Move the noisier notifications to a summary schedule rather than turning them off, and narrow the recipient list to the people who act on them. If that does not settle it, contact us and we will look at the configuration with you.

Someone left the facility

Removing a user in Settings > Team ends their platform access. Check Manage recipients on your notifications as well so they are removed from anything still going out.

I do not see a Notifications tab

Notifications are available to Owners and Admins. If your Level in Settings > Team is Admin and you still do not see the tab, contact us and we will check it.

How do I change which product opens when I sign in?

That is a personal setting on the General tab. See Choosing your landing page.
